About Us

Hampden Mennonite Church of Baltimore, MD, was established to provide a church home for staff from Urban Mennonite Ministries (UMM) as well as to reach out to the community. They have been holding services for approximately three years, but the church is only now becoming officially established. In 2011 they made application to become part of Keystone Mennonite Fellowship and were officially accepted in September 2012. Isaac Gehman was assigned to give bishop oversight to the developing congregation until the end of 2014.

On Sunday morning, February 24, 2013, the congregation officially accepted its charter members. The church would welcome your visit. They currently meet at Hampden Christian School at 1234 West 36th Street, about half a block west of Falls Road in Hampden. Services are on Sunday at 10 o’clock. They currently do not meet on the 5th Sunday of the month if one occurs. We encourage you to find an opportunity to visit the church and become acquainted with them and the work in Baltimore.
